Christina McGovern is a highly skilled independent workplace investigator with extensive experience in employment law. She began her career in civil litigation, handling matters across employment, contract, veterans’ benefits, and constitutional law, and has since developed deep expertise in conducting impartial investigations into claims of discrimination, harassment, retaliation, and other workplace equity issues in both the public and private sectors, including significant experience in the entertainment industry and in school settings.
Prior to joining Solomon law, Christina assisted the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors’ Equity Oversight Panel in evaluating employee complaints and allegations and provided recommendations on appropriate next steps. Christina also served as a Deputy Compliance Officer with the Los Angeles County Department of Human Resources’ County Equity Investigations Unit, where she conducted approximately 40 investigations per year. Her responsibilities included monitoring compliance with civil rights, equity, and equal opportunity programs, preparing reports and recommendations, and advising County executive management on policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines. She regularly presented investigative findings to the County Equity Oversight Panel and contributed to the development of equitable workplace practices.
In addition to her employment law experience, Christina has specialized training in Title IX investigations and in working with children and individuals who have experienced trauma, including sexual assault. This training supports her ability to approach sensitive investigations with professionalism, fairness, and care.
Christina is an active member of the Association of Workplace Investigators and has delivered continuing legal education programs to attorneys on best practices in independent workplace investigations.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in French Literature from Stanford University and her Juris Doctor degree from Chapman University’s Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where she contributed to the Nexus Law Journal and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi International Legal Fraternity.
