Organizations across industries trust Nancy to handle sensitive and complex workplace matters with neutrality, discretion, and a deep understanding of employment law.
Nancy began her legal career as a law clerk to the Honorable Ronald S.W. Lew of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California before becoming a labor and employment litigator at O’Melveny & Myers LLP. At O’Melveny, she represented clients in sectors ranging from entertainment to aerospace, managing litigation involving discrimination, harassment, and wage and hour claims, while also counseling employers, conducting trainings, and negotiating settlements.
She later served as Senior Staff Attorney at the California Women’s Law Center, where she focused on systemic discrimination cases, advised practitioners and advocates on employment laws, and frequently appeared as a media commentator on sex discrimination issues. She also developed and taught a Title IX course as an adjunct professor at Loyola Law School, reflecting her longstanding expertise in discrimination and harassment law.
Prior to founding her law practice, Nancy served as the General Counsel to the Jewish Federation Council of Greater Los Angeles, advising executive staff of this multi-million-dollar non-profit corporation on all legal matters including labor and employment, tax, and corporate governance. She also instituted proactive personnel and management policies to reduce risk and trained staff on how to comply with anti-discrimination laws. Nancy was also instrumental in the organization’s labor negotiations and administration of its union contract.
Her investigative expertise was further recognized when she was appointed by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors to serve on the County’s Equity Oversight Panel, a position she held for four years. As a Panel Member, she reviewed employee complaints and nearly 800 internal investigations, providing oversight and guidance on both investigative practices and risk management to County Departments.
Nancy has also served as a mediator on the U.S. District Court’s Alternative Dispute Resolution Program, bringing additional perspective to her neutral approach. She trained at, and was certified by, Pepperdine Law School’s Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, further enhancing her skills in conducting impartial investigations and addressing workplace disputes. Nancy is also an active member of the Association of Workplace Investigators
Nancy graduated magna cum laude from the University of California College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), where she was Senior Articles Editor of the Hastings Law Journal and a member of the Order of the Coif.
